1) Milestone plaque: The milestone plaque will reside in the Suzukake-dai campus of Tokyo Institute of Technology. The plaque will be installed on the ground along the way from the campus entrance to the FIRST building where Professor Kenichi Iga’s laboratories existed. The plaque site is in proximity to the FIRST building and is supposed to be located next to the Milestone plaque of Koga’s temperature-insensitive quartz oscillation plate. Currently, there is a "Negishi Tobacco Store" on the corner on the site of the former company where his daughter and Negishi's family live there. The store was opened by Shigeichi Negishi and is now managed by his daughter, Atsumi Takano. The photo shows the front of the Negishi tobacco store. Coupland I Building formerly housed the Department of Electrotechnics and was the building in which Manchester Code was invented. The plaque will be on the outside wall of the building on Bridgeford Street, shown below. The plaque will be adjacent to the existing IEEE Milestone plaque for the Manchester Baby and Mark I computers which is on the outside of the rooms in which both inventions were made.
