A nice proposal and a good milestone. A couple of suggestions regarding the citation: The title seems pretty long. Would too much be lost if you used "Vapor-phase Axial Deposition Method for Production of Optical Fiber, 1977"? Note that I have also just used the 1977 date. I infer that the process was developed over the period of years noted but it seems that the invention was in 1977. Finally, I suggest that NTT be spelled out the first time NTT is used in the citation.
