Dear Milestone proposer,

We are currently reviewing the proposal for Emergency warning code signal broadcasting system and have the following queries. Could you please clarify these queries?

Query I: The EWSB signals are issued simultaneously in analogue and digital broadcasting for Emergency Warning Code Signal Broadcasting system. From the submitted supporting materials; I see that in Japan, the EWS over digital broadcasting/digital EWS has been started in 2000 for satellite broadcasting and in 2003 for terrestrial broadcasting. Could the proposer please clarify whether the system presented in the proposal is specifically for Emergency Warning code signal over analogue broadcasting (1985)? if so, then does the citation have to reflect this observation?

Query 2: In the citation, it has been mentioned the system “never experienced errors in operation, and has always been activated during emergencies”. Could you please clarify when you state “never experienced errors in operations” do you imply the system never got any errors during the reported emergency warning events ( 22 events as per the report enclosed in the nomination submission, how many of these are analogue broadcasting based?) . Could you please provide additional data which will be helpful to support this?
