Hello Ross,

I've had a good read of the submission so far, and apart from the small tasks to complete, could I kindly suggest the following adjustment to the proposed Citation? This is more of a suggestion for you and colleaques to consider, and noting limited word counts too.. This suggestion is 52, which is under the limit..

--> At this University in 1948, Prof. Yasuto Mushiake discovered that self-complimentary shaped antennas are frequency independent: having a constant radiation-pattern and a constant impedance over very wide frequency ranges. This principle has provided the basis for most very-wide-bandwidth antenna designs, with applications ranging from television reception, wireless broadband, astronomy and cellular telephones. <--

If you can chase down the tasks to complete, and maybe obtain consensus on the citation 'suggestion' above, that will be great. Could we do this in the next few days.. because if we miss the Nov 28 deadline, then it's March 2017, and that's a decent wait for something so close to the mark.

I've reviewed the Milestone proposal. The document is accurate and complete, and the achievement is both technically and practically significant and worthy of recognition. The proposal does not require revision.

I strongly suggest a few minor edits to the citation, however. In my opinion, the citation should make sense when read on the web or elsewhere. Accordingly, "This University" should be replaced with a specific reference to Tohoku University. I've also fixed some problematic grammar. The revised citation incorporates suggestions made by the proposer, W. Ross Stone:

"However, from a technical standpoint, we have to be a little careful with regard to the radiation pattern. Self-complementary antennas strictly have a constant impedance with frequency. They have a constant radiation pattern when the current decreases rapidly as the distance from the driving point increases. This is often but not always the case. That's why I very slightly modified the citation proposed by David. I suggest modifying your proposed citation, too."

The revised citation has 56 words.
